Griffin Wins KCIR Quick 8 330' with New Gaged Clutch

Griffin wins Quick 8 330' at KCIR VAMP running the new Gaged Engineering GX9 4-finger clutch and Enduro 200 belt combo.

Killer consistent 60' times and 330' E.T.s wins Griffin the Quick 8 title. Running just .007 of a second off his dial and having less than .005 seconds 60' time variations we are very excited about the new 4-finger GX9.

Griffin also qualified #1 with a perfect .000 reaction in the 7.90 class!

Griffin Rider Top Speed at KCJDL Event

Running his new S&W Powersports motor Griffin ran 86.85MPH Saturday night at KCIR. However, we are still needing some test runs to get it into race winning form. Horsepower is not a problem!

Check out 7month old Macy, she loves the races. Especially riding the golf cart! She watches Griffin from the golf cart in the staging lanes every pass, and stays until we come back to get her... without a leash at all!

2010 Champ!

Griffin Wins Vamp Race - Captures KCJDL Championship

It was down to the finals! Entering the final points race for the 2010 KCJDL Championship Griffin was tied for the season points lead. Four competition rounds later and it was all on the line. If Griffin lost the finals he'd miss the Championship by just one point. Instead, he matched his competitors reaction time of .037 seconds and hit the finish line just .018 seconds ahead for the win, and clinched the 2010 Championship.

Griffin will be attending the 2010 KCJDL banquet and will receive a $500 winners check, a Lucas Oil Champions ring, and other cool prizes.

Griffin would like to thank all of his sponsors for their support these past 2 years of his Jr Dragster racing, and all of his friends at the race track that make it so much fun to race with.

Springfield Illinois Pepsi and Mountain Dew Return For 2010

 Mr. Faloon and Springfield Pepsi are back with Griffin's racing program for 2010. They have some exciting plans for the year. Be sure to come out to the races and see what Griffin will be doing to get everyone to be a Pepsi person! Come by his pit and taste for yourself!

Griffin Rider Signs-up With Mickey Thompson Performace Tires For 2010

The Jr Dragster will be working the 1/8 mile drag surface via Mickey Thompson Performance Tires for 2010. M/T has a very strong history in motorsports and has a great Jr Dragster tire that works excellent in not just the traction category but is also very light weight. Griffin and M/T will be striving for a winning season along with some big MPH runs!

Off Season - Youth Deer Hunt

Griffin gets his first ever buck. Not a 30 pointer but a Button Buck. Thanks to Tom and Fred Henson for a great weekend at The Cabin. Check out the pictures of Griffin's target shooting at 100 yards, and then getting the little buck from 80 yards. Great shooting for the first time with a big rifle and even some target shooting with the .45 handgun.

Top Speed of the Year!

Griffin Rider sets 2009 top speed for KCIR and the KCJDRL league for the Jr/Jr Dragster class (8-12 year olds) at 80.12 MPH in the 1/8th mile! He also held the Top Speed of his class at every race he entered at KCIR and Heartland Park Topeka!

Dialing In Griffin's Jr!

Testing this weekend on the 1/8th mile at Kansas City International Raceway went well. The NHRA index for Griffin's age group is 8.900 seconds at 85 MPH. The final two passes during testing  Griffin ran an 8.802 and an 8.829 at speeds of 83 MPH! The new car still needs a few areas tuned-up before race day. Stay tuned!
